The Sound Town PAC360-6 is a 6-zone 19" rack mountable commercial power amplifier. It comes with 360W RMS output and can be split into 6 zones. Its integrated clipping limiter protects your speakers and amp from overheating. Better yet, it is capable of 70-volt, 100-volt, 8-ohm, and 4-ohm and is ideal for applications such as restaurants, bars, pubs, schools and warehouse.

With a built-in potentiometer, each zone can power up to 200W but the total for all zones must be less than 360W. You can also connect a 70V speaker to the 100V 6-zone function, but the power output would be lower. For example, when it's 60W at 100V per zone, the power will be around 42W at 70V. In addition, 70V/100V and 8-Ohm can't be used at the same time. A 6-zone cannot pick up 8-Ohm. If you want to connect 8-Ohm, you can only connect the 4-16 Ohms terminal of the main output and you can't connect any other 70V/100V terminals.

The multi-zone power amplifier comes with 3 sets of RCA inputs, 2 mic inputs, and Bluetooth, USB, FM radio and RCA line output, 70V / 100V / 4~16-ohm red positive speaker output terminals and shared negative speaker output terminal. Its versatile input and output options allows you to easily set this up in a variety of multi-room applications. Each of the 2 mics input has echo control all 6 zones have separate volume knobs for easy adjustment.

  • The commercial (public address) power amplifier has a 6-zone speaker output with individual volume control; cast-aluminum panel and integrated handles for enhanced durability
  • Versatile inputs with 3 sets of RCA inputs, 2 mic inputs (including 1 priority mic), USB input, FM radio tuner, and Bluetooth for easy connection to audio streaming devices; each of the 2 mics has speed and echo control
  • Built-in clipping limiter and reliable cooling system protect your speakers and amplifiers from overheating
  • The audio amplifier is ideal for multi-room applications or broadcasting system such as restaurants, lounges, bars, pubs, schools and warehouses

"Can the amplifier support 8-Ohms on one channel and 70V on the rest?"
(Answer:) Distortion may occur when certain source signals exceed the input capacity. It's important to note that using 70V and 8-Ohm configurations simultaneously is not feasible. Specifically, the 6-zone cannot accommodate 8-Ohm speakers. If you intend to connect 8-Ohm speakers, they should be connected solely to the 4-16 Ohms terminal of the main output, with no connection to any other 70V terminals.

However, if all the speakers are rated for 70V, multiple speakers can be connected simultaneously. In this scenario, they can be connected to both the main output of 70V-100V and the 6-zone. Each zone within the 6-zone can handle approximately 200W but the total amplifier capacity is capped at 360W, including the main output and 6-zone sum.

"What type of speakers can the 6-zone connect to?"
(Answer:) Speakers that do not have a transformer can't be connected to the 6-zone settings on the amp, it can only connect to the 4~16 ohm terminal and can only connect a certain amount depending on the impedance. If the impedance of one speaker is 8-ohm, 2 in parallel is 4-ohm, so the amp can only connect to two 8-ohm speakers. The 6-zone connection can only be connected to a high impedance speaker (with transformer). Connecting a low impedance speaker to a high output impedance amplifier causes impedance mismatching, resulting in amplifier malfunction or damage.

"Does it have the ability to connect an exterior medium such as a phone line or
IP phone, or similar to be able to dial into it and page via a communication medium while not being directly in the same building as the amplifier itself?"
(Answer:) No, the amp does not have IP communication.

"Can your amplifier work with multiple lines at different voltages at the same time; for example: 100V, 70V, 4 Ohms & 8 Ohms etc?"
(Answer:) Low impedance 4-16 Ohms can't work at the same time with 70V/100V.

"I see that the six zones are labeled 100 volt speakers. All of our horns and speakers are 70 volt, can we still use the six zones outputs?"
(Answer:) Yes, you can connect the zones to either 70V/100V. The 100V speaker zone output in the 6 zones is actually designed for 100V and you can connect 70V speakers (although many speakers do in fact have 70/100V input on option where you would choose the 100V for the 6 zones labeled for 100V). For the speakers that only have 70V option, when connected to the 100V zone, the sound will be lower even when you turn the knob all the way up. For example, the power output might be around 42W @70V as opposed to 60W @100V. However, if your set up just needs background music, then it should be loud enough
