The Sound Town SDRK-8TD is a compact studio rack designed to organize and support essential rack-mount gear. It offers 8U vertical rack space with a standard 19" width and 15.7" rackable depth, making it a space-efficient solution for home studios, recording rooms, and control setups. A dedicated 2U bottom storage compartment with a flip-open cover provides convenient space for storing cables, adapters, and other accessories.
A 15° slanted design improves visibility and accessibility for more efficient daily operation of installed equipment. Constructed from high-quality 5/8" (15mm) Baltic birch plywood with a refined black espresso finish, the rack offers strong structural durability with a clean, professional studio appearance. Side-panel cutouts and dual rear support panels with cable pass-through openings help maintain a clean, organized rack layout.
For secure equipment installation, the SDRK-8TD includes pre-installed 10-32 threaded rack rails with mounting screws. The rack supports both mobile and fixed configurations, with four rubberized casters for easy movement and two locking brakes for secure positioning. Optional rubber feet can be installed for stable, non-slip placement when a stationary setup is preferred.
