The Sound Town PAC1000-8 is a high-capacity commercial power amplifier engineered for large-scale audio distribution in professional environments. Delivering a powerful 1000W total output, it is designed to drive extensive constant-voltage speaker systems across 8 independent zones with consistent performance and ample headroom. Its 19" rack-mountable form factor and rugged construction make it well-suited for permanent installations.
Audio control and source management are streamlined through the integrated LCD display, which provides clear visibility of playback status and system settings. Flexible connectivity includes Bluetooth wireless streaming, USB playback, a built-in FM radio tuner with included antenna, three sets of RCA line inputs, and three microphone inputs for paging and background music. The included remote control allows convenient source selection and volume adjustment from across the room.
The PAC1000-8 provides 8-zone outputs, each with individual volume control for precise multi-zone management. While each zone can be adjusted independently, the total combined power across all zones must not exceed 1000W. Important note: multi-zone operation is intended for 70V/100V systems only. For low-impedance applications, a dedicated 4–16Ω main output is available, which bypasses zone controls and cannot be used simultaneously with 70V/100V.
Built for long-term reliability, the amplifier incorporates a built-in clipping limiter and a high-efficiency cooling system to help prevent distortion and overheating during continuous operation. Housed in a premium cast-aluminum front panel with integrated heavy-duty handles, the PAC1000-8 delivers the durability and performance required for restaurants, lounges, bars, schools, warehouses, and other commercial audio installations.
