The MODE Audio FILA-284C is a high-output, passive dual 8" 4-way cardioid line array loudspeaker engineered for professional touring and installation applications. It features dual 8" front-facing Spanish Beyma neodymium woofers, dual 6.5" side-facing neodymium woofers, and a 3.5"+1.75" coaxial MF/HF compression driver. With 1350W RMS and 2700W program power combined (front: 900W RMS / 1800W program at 16Ω; side: 450W RMS / 900W program at 16Ω), it delivers powerful low-frequency impact, clear midrange detail, and precise high-frequency reproduction. The cardioid configuration uses the side-facing woofers to reduce rearward low-frequency radiation, helping maintain a cleaner stage while delivering strong forward output.

The FILA-284C features four selectable horizontal coverage patterns, including 70°/110° symmetrical and 90° left/right asymmetrical configurations, allowing coverage to be tailored to different venue layouts. Its variable waveguide directivity and adjustable inter-element angles from 0° to 10° in 1° increments support precise sound distribution across the audience. For extended low-frequency output, the FILA-284C can be paired with the MODE Audio CB-15CS cardioid subwoofer.

Housed in a high-quality birch plywood enclosure with a durable polyurea coating, the FILA-284C is built for demanding professional touring and installation applications. It can be powered by MODE Audio TTM series amplifiers, which support Powersoft ArmoníaPlus, Dante/AES networking, and DSP control for system configuration and optimization. Four FILA-284C cabinets can be powered by one TTM-12K4 amplifier, with each pair of cabinets connected in parallel. The FILA-284C combines high output, controlled cardioid coverage, and variable directivity for professional sound reinforcement applications.
