The Sound Town CARME-212SPW2.1 is an active dual 12″ folded horn subwoofer designed for powerful, controlled low-frequency performance in demanding live sound and installation applications. It is powered by a built-in 2.1-channel Class-D amplifier delivering up to 2200W peak combined output, with 1200W peak driving the internal subwoofer and an additional 2 × 250W continuous / 2 × 500W peak available via dual Speakon outputs to power two passive full-range speakers. This integrated amplification design allows the subwoofer to function as both a strong low-frequency foundation and a centralized system hub for expanded setups.
Equipped with two high-performance 12″ woofers, the CARME-212SPW2.1 produces deep, articulate bass that remains controlled even at high output levels. The compact folded horn enclosure increases acoustic efficiency and low-frequency projection, while the rigid 5/8″ birch plywood cabinet minimizes resonance and distortion, ensuring durability and reliable performance in both portable and permanent PA systems.
Advanced onboard DSP provides four selectable presets along with a stereo/mono switch and True Wireless Stereo (TWS) functionality, allowing flexible system configuration and signal routing. Connectivity and mounting options include two XLR–1/4″ combo inputs, two XLR outputs, two Speakon outputs for powering passive speakers, and dual M20 pole sockets for vertical or horizontal setups. Integrated M8 rigging points support flown installation, further expanding flexibility for venues, clubs, houses of worship, touring rigs, and professional event production environments.
