The Sound Town CARME Series CARME-153B is a 15" 3-way passive loudspeaker that provides controlled full-range coverage in installed and live sound environments. It features a 15" woofer, a 5.5" MF neodymium transducer, and a 2" coaxial HF neodymium compression driver, delivering 950W RMS / 1900W program power (LF: 600W RMS @ 8Ω, MF/HF: 350W RMS @ 16Ω) for clear, high-output performance in venues such as churches, restaurants, meeting rooms, and live stages. It is suitable for both main PA use and high-fidelity stage monitoring in small to medium-sized environments.
This speaker features an external selectable passive and bi-amp mode switch, allowing flexible system configuration for different amplification setups. Its 3-way design separates low and mid/high frequencies to reduce distortion and improve efficiency across various acoustic environments. A 90° × 60° rotatable horn provides precise sound dispersion, while integrated mounting flexibility includes a 35mm pole socket and M10 threaded insert support for secure installation in both portable and permanent setups.
Compatible with vertical CARME-153BUB-V and horizontal CARME-153BUB-H U-bracket mounting options (sold separately), the CARME-153B is designed for flexible rigging and precise positioning in a wide range of venue layouts. Its durable birch plywood enclosure minimizes resonance and vibration, ensuring consistent and accurate audio reproduction in demanding professional environments.
