The Sound Town ARES Series ARES-12D2 is a 12" Dual Voice Coil (DVC) car subwoofer. It handles 1000W RMS, 2000W program, 4000W peak power. With dual 3“ 4-layer copper wire voice coils, it drives the woofer accurately for top-notch performance under extreme conditions. It has a cast aluminum basket with direct coil cooling in black texture coating, together with a ultra-stiff and lightweight non-pressed paper cone and high-density stitched foam, it delivers outstanding sound performance with minimal distortion.

The ARES-12D2 has double stacked 180 oz high quality magnets built in; The aluminum heatsink, T-yoke and washers keep the voice coil cool and allow the woofer to keep delivering consistent and reliable sound bass performance. Better yet, the car subwoofer works equally well in sealed or ported enclosures.
